Marvin catco pleaded guilty to larceny in the night time of property valued at less than 20 dollars. He was fined 50 dollars and given a 60 day suspended sentence. Then he filed a lawsuit against the owners of the house he'd broken into, ed and bertha briney. Antre mc clerg says the case might have been very different if Ed and Bertha Briney lived in the farmhouse and were there that night.

Ed and Bertha Briney’s unoccupied farmhouse was reportedly broken into 50 times over 10 years. They put up “No Trespassing” signs, repeatedly complained to sheriffs in two different counties, nailed doors shut, and boarded up windows - but nothing worked. So they decided to try something else.
