The Enneagram is much more elaborately articulated than Myers-Briggs or Colby's. It helped me see them not through my lens, but who they are and what's more valuable than that. For those of us in intimate relationships and working relationships, I think we all struggle with that. The great Zen teacher and poet John Tarrant Roshi said, attention is the most basic form of love. So if you're with someone and you're only paying attention to how you feel about them, then there's no love. There's a bargain.
