The Effect of Fear on Persuasion

Fear works better as persuasion when we want to cause inaction, but not when we want a positive action or action in the first place. Under stress actually people become hypervigilant to any kind of negative information. If people are already under high stress, fear is something that may work because people do listen to all the negative information when they're already under stress.
