Castes Discrimination in India Is Not an Accident
"The fact that most people in india don't look at caste as a present, lived reality is not an accident. That is the design," she says. "There is a reason why caste has been obscured to a point of invisibility in india." The idea that casts discrimination is still so persistent and followed so intricately would interfere with this liberal project, this secular project, that the country was erected upon. India was raised as this liberal, secular dream where everybody would be equal - but it's eroding right now.
