"It's one of those films where like all the pieces lock into place and you can't even imagine any other way because this is how it's supposed to play out," he says. "I think because it feels sketchy and unfinished, like it feels like all these little communities have formed like bacteria, basically according to no rules." The film was another difficult production for director George Miller but his team pulled off a masterclass in post-apocalyptic filmmaking.
