"If your instructor is uncomfortable with you getting information from other sources, that is pretty much a universal red flag right there," he says. "You can quite easily submit a technique video to someone on the other side of the world and your instructor will never be the wiser that this happened." He adds: "It's a better tool for accountability as well because you can more easily assess whether your instructor is any good"
