If an idea is rubbish and convenient, it can thrive. The easiest way to get a rubbish idea into publication is to not have it reviewed before it's published. So that is dangerous. And then think of the act of mopping up that you need to do. Say there's something that's published and it's dead wrong. People think, oh, that's very useful. I can use that to make grand sweeping conclusions that will win me grants. Then they start using that particular idea. How do you go around and refute in the first year the eight, 10, 12 individual pieces of research that are sitting on this rotten brick in the wall? Well, you can obviously just review
