Are You the Christ, the Son of the Living God?

Peter uses the language, son of the living God. That's interesting because not only is that afraid to use it in various Old Testament texts, it also appears later in the gospel of Matthew. Jesus doesn't begin to give us his passion predictions in the Gospel of Matthew until he's established Peter with authority. So an incredible prophecy, and there's so much more to Matthew 16. We can really do a whole Bible study on Matthew 16. There's a lot worse skipping over.
