The Impact of the War on Russia's Culture
BBC's Russia editor and friend of our podcast, Steve Rosenberg, was a guest on private passions. He reflected on the transformation of the country since it moved there in 1991. The impact of the current war against Ukraine has had a knock-on effect on Russian culture. It almost sounds worse than during the Cold War when a non-political form of exchange between the two blocks did exist. And I don't know how this is going to happen, but I really hope that what is beautiful about Russia once again comes to dominate and to decide the future of this country.
