The Future of the City

There is a lot that, like you, gives me a great sense of dread and pessimism. And i'm a political junky, so i'm kind of immersed in these depressing new cycles every dayt but let me flip in and talk about the optimistic sides. There's two things i would point to as a direction to optimistic about the future. One is that there is a lot of positive stuff happening at the level of the city. Many of the stories in the book are about cities that have figured out various ways to work on policy issues in a new and new way.
