The Importance of Preparing for a Group Meeting
In advance of a group call, ask your champion who is the Mr. or Mrs. Rogers in the room? If I don't know that and my champion doesn't know that, there's a signal there that they may not have made other purchases before. It might not be that they disagree it's a problem, but they might have a special pet project that they're really gunning for. And then to win, quote unquote, win, I'm going to have to deflate that priority in the moment when in reality, what I want to do is show them a different entry path as to how this is going to help with that.
