In 14 82, leonardo moved to milan, the most northern of the italian states. He offered his services to a local noble, ludovico svorze, who later became the duke of milan. And chiefly pitched himself as a military engineer. I have plans for very light, strong and easily portable bridges with which to pursue, and, on some occasions, flee the enemy.
