The Engagement of Universities in the Humanities
A lot of people question now the role of disciplines in the humanities. How much value does society get out of the study of philosophy, or mean history? Is that something that concerns you? Do you feel the need to elevate the study of humanities and reassert the importance of humanities? Or actually, as we've talked about, does the university need to move more towards practical applications? I don't see those as an either or.
