Four per cent of energy in the world is produced by nuclear power. It takes anywhere from ten to 15 years to build a nuclear power plant when you start from scratch. The problems with people dying have nothing to do with renewables, they have to do with coal. We don't have to make this choice between the difficult challenges of nuclear power versus climate change. There are better alternatives that exist today that we can deploy in the time frame that we need to actually make a real dent in climate change.
