i think there's like tons of conspiracy thinking. There's this faction that doesn't actually care about science, which is kind of the jo rogans and the alex joneses. And then there are the people who claim to care deeply about science, but maye get so fixated on what the idea of rational science is they lose sight of the bigger picture altogether. i bet their work is not on discovery of muons or working toward better vaccine from monkey pox. A lot of times they're doing surveys we could never understand.
