The Restoration of the English State in 1660
In 1660 the king comes back and the registrides are themselves handed to death or proportion of them are handed to death. They're very exuberantly executed are they not? So much so that the locals in Charing Cross complain about the smell. I think you know it's a revolution that in some ways doesn't last but then equally if you look at the political settlement in 1660 the restoration system. The restoration settlement there's an awful lot of the more offensive elements of Charles I rule which have gone.
