The Receding Horizon of Intelligence

The book is a meditation on what are the qualities that make us human. And at first, if you go back to like Babbage, people thought if you could make a machine that could do arithmetic, then you'd have artificial intelligence. So we believe that we had created artificial intelligence. But it's still murky as to whether or not we've actually achieved artificial intelligence. The bar is even higher because we now have the system and can see its flaws.
