There are times where the interferometer is not operating, in which case we wouldn't expect data. There's other control signals in our data that help us to be aware of the state of the detector. We typically use about one, sometimes two, CPUs per analysis job. And here by analysis job, I really mean that we have some search going on for a binary black hole or a binary neutron star.
