The Path to VC

I've been a public markets investor when I got out of college in the mid 90s people wanted to go to Wall Street. It's interesting you also then have to adjust for the last 10 years in VC may not have been representative of certainly what the norm is and what the next 10 years might look like. There's obviously the kind of thematic investing side of it understanding where the world is going in a very macro way because you're making bets that ultimately need to pay off on a five to 10 year time horizon but the best ones are probably non obvious at the time that you're making them.
