ESPN's Direct to Consumer Deal With Apple
Apple and ESPN line up perfectly in terms of what I think Apple's goals are in sports. Tom Staggs and Kevin Mayer have been hired by Bob Iger to be consultants on ESPN. They're both with a production house called Candle Media, which is funded by the Blackstone Group. If Mayer had stuck around Disney, our little bed about when ESPN would go direct to consumer would have already happened.
