Rex Hinkley: The Mormon Church President

In 1992, Rex Hinkley was the president of the Mormon church. He wrote that members should follow their own conscience when they disagree with a leader. The most sacred thing in Mormonism is authority and if he tried to vest too much power on individual members, first presidency would change it.
