How to Model a Neuron in a Neural Network

Each one of the layers in a neural network is made up of artificial neurons. They all get the same input, but each of them computes a slightly different function. The ones that are used mostly are rate coding. So they'll put out a floating point number that's meant to kind of approximate if this were a neuron in the brain.
