The Fall of Civilizations Podcast

Each episode i look at a civilization of the past that rose to glory and then collapsed into the ashes of history. I want to ask, what did they have in common, what led to their fall? This week we are looking at the ancient city of petra on the arabian desert. The colonnade is about 35 feet high, and the columns are about three feet in diameter with corinthian capitals. It is one of the most elegant remains of antiquity existing in syria.
