Is Fatalism Part of a Healthy Society?
Fatalism of some kind is part of a healthy society, or does it become an obstacle? I want to make sure we're not equivocal. There's two different meanings here, and they shouldn't be confused. One is the sense of a destiny, that where things are written and you're sort of deterministically called towards them. The other one is the way your death is fatal. Doesn't mean causing death. Fatal means that your death om happens because the universe unfolds independently of your narrative projects and your values and your concerns. We might call it the fate of despair. And now we're in this kind of despairing mode as a caor.
