A year ago when I did a show in my friend's backyard going to a major label, I had absolutely no leverage. The leverage is like most of the time social capital, right? And if they say if the deal isn't absolutely perfect for me, I can 100% confidently walk away and have it doesn't change the way that I live my day-to-day life. "I'm able to take the money that I make off of music and FTS and put that back into the music," he says.
