Learning English, It's the First Syllable That's Stressed

Most two syllable nouns or adjectives, it's the first syllable that's emphasized. So for example, present, a gift, a present. Were emphasizing that first sound on these nouns and adjectives. For longer words, there are three or more syllables, you just to listen to a lot of english. You have to mimic a lot of native English so you remember which syllables are stressed in these longer words. And then like search your mind, like three syllables ends. Like guys like, these are ridiculous rules. We're not going to tell you because they're so confusing. There is no way you're going to be talking.
