The Assyrian Siege Tower

The siege tower was mounted on wheels so that two could be wheeled up the constructed ramp. It is very likely that the assyrian siege tower would have a large battering moun attached to it near its base. Bowmen would have stormed the city protected by their individual shield bearers. Armored spear men would enter the city armed with their own shields. The judeans would have been ill equipped to overcome the effectiveness of the highly trained and well polished assyrian military unit.
