The Perpetual Salt Fountain
The perpetual salt fountain was first theorized by scientist Henry Stommel in 1956. As the water circulates in these vast ocean eddies the subtropical sun beats down upon it warming it up. If you were to connect the nutrient rich deep water with a pipe bring it to the surface bringing that water up from the bottom and let it warm up at the top sufficiently for it to acclimatize then because that deep water has a much lower salinity if less salty than the surface layer it will flow up by itself as long as those two are connected.
