The Robin Hood Legend of John Lackland

There is a reason that no other English kings have been named John since then. He was liked by almost nobody except for perhaps the king of France with whom he worked to keep Richard in prison for as long as he could. And unfortunately that cleared the path for his youngest brother, John Lackland who unlike his brothers hadn't had experience ruling a certain area. So it's not just people who are thinking of the Robin Hood legend who think of King John as being terrible.
