Is Your Brain Activated When You Are Young?
I think in Britain, languages aren't valued as much as they are in other countries. So we're a bit lazy with languages, I think. It's always the same things that people get stuck on. And once people can open the mind a little bit like that, sometimes you just have to accept it. The thing with children is they don't question anything. You know, what adults do because obviously for adults, their own language is more firmly entrenched. Children, their brains are still growing. And there is a part of your brain that deals with languages. If it's not activated when you're young, it makes it more difficult later on.
