I feel like what i observe in the culture right now is more and more extreme positions being taken on both sides. I just keep thinking of yates's line, no, the centre cannot be left alone. And that's what lewis is getting at, i think, when he says that once you start attacking the da from outside, you will destroy the whole world. You will destroy that very means by which you can even cratique something. Anand where we are now, we don't have reason. We don't have im the chest. So we have these very big extremes because of that.
