I Have You, but I Don't Need You
The remedy for pride is humility. Humility is nothing more than telling the truth, but it's telling the full truth. We don't just need ourselves to tell the truth - we also need the father to tell us the truth. This is te thing that will kill pride in our hearts. That's e only place we can ever find the full truth,. The only place we're ever going to be able to let go of embarrassment or resentment and any kind of pride, is to let the father speak.
