The Unintended Consequences of a New Approach to Teaching Mathematics
Sally Kohn: Seattle public schools are going to take a brave new approach in their teaching of mathematics. She says they'll teach how it's oppressive to minorities because anything with an objective answer at the end is oppressive. Kohn: It would be, I guess, a lot easier to take this nonsense seriously if everybody could do simple mathematics but they can't.
