What You Want to Avoid Is Multiple Keys
If you've died, your key is found in your safe deposit box. What you want to avoid is known people who can be ered in a known way. If you boast of it, you're a target. Like, why would you want to be a target? Rit give it up, right? So there's sort of no sort of local incentive to a kind of break with the norms of this kind of little society. It's basically feels like something very important and very cool to be part of but it still has no real capacity for kind of violating that trust and becoming a direct organ of power.
