Exercise has the greatest power to determine how you will live out the rest of your life. There are reams of data supporting the notion that even a fairly minimal amount of exercise can lengthen your life by several years. Exercise is not just one thing, so I break it down into components of aerobic efficiency, maximum aerobic output, VO2 max strength and stability. The third domain is sleep, which is gone unappreciated by medicine 2.0 until relatively recently. Our fifth and final domain consists of various drugs supplements and hormones that doctors learn about in medical school and beyond.
