The Human and Social Angle of the Metaverse
The metaverse is quite well covered from both a technology and an industry dynamics angle. What I found sorely missing was what at Redby would call the human and social angle. A lot of times when you read experts and commentators like Matthew Ball, what will happen around the human questions is the conversation will turn its sources to science fiction. So books and movies like Ready Player One or William Gibson and I'm ambivalent. It's also a sign that the human andsocial science questions are not approached with the same rigor as the technology and industry dynamics side of things. That's kind of what sparked our interest in this topic at Red.
