The Underspecified Segments Theory in Turkic Languages
Linguistics is to describe how new speakers of a language, children, interpret the data that they're given for their own language. This was called basically these little segments that appear only in affixes are called underspecified segments. They can be consonants or Val's, but we're going to deal with Val's here. What happens is that after front valves, the Val in the oblative comes out as A, after back valves, it come out as A.
