Amin's Triumph
Amin was known to be a strong swimmer and fast sprinter but boxing was his real passion. He believed himself to be so invincible that he even challenged Muhammad Ali to a match. In 1959, Amin was made a Fendi or a Warren officer - the highest rank possible for a black African soldier in the colonial British army.
