The Panpsychist's View of Awareness
Spinoza and Schopenhauer seem to disagree about what it is that's like there at the base once you strip away the layers. And I think I was hoping the panpsychism can be a broad tent, you know, that can include people with different ideas of what's left when you strip away all the layers. Like I think Sam Coleman, for instance, is a pan quality. He thinks that once you stripped away everything, you can strip away structural features of experience. In doing so you'll strip away everything epistemic, and what you'll be left with is a quality, the things that we know, but with no knowledge, no awareness of them.
