Self-driving cars and self-bagging groceries make my cost of living go down. I don't want a third of the population to die, but 34% is a pretty manageable problem when you're talking about charity in a world where the cost of living has gone down as much as it would if all those menial jobs were replaced. None of that would really solve the problem. That's basically just sort of bread and circuses, just throwing money at social unrest to get it to go away.
