The Limits of LIGO
LIGO has found that 99% of black holes in binary merging systems have to be below 43 solar masses. This was announced by a plenary talk at double AS this year. And they also said just remarkably about how far we've come about how many merging black hole binaries are there in our observable universe. We had almost no constraints at all, and now we know that there's about 800,000 mergers every year plus or minus 500,000.
