How I Learned to Live in a Hut
I was living in a small hut about an hour outside of rotary rural. The only adults I knew in New Zealand lived in Auckland. My father had also left me running the business that by then he was running. If I didn't educate myself, I couldn't see any way which I was going to get away from living on a boat or living in a boat yard for the rest of my life. It was my only escape route. So that's what I dedicated myself to doing - learning everything I possibly could and teaching myself as much as possible. Then I wrote to every university I'd ever heard of...
