The biggest practices of eugenics in America are Hasidic Jews because that population is very inbred and they even have a system workaround. They want to make sure that when you're reproducing, you're not going to have kids who are going to have these kind of genetic abnormalities. This is something where maybe people wouldn't personally agree with it because they don't understand why groups would be interested in doing this and doing so.
