The Importance of Social Pressure in Mormonism
My family has never progressed within church leadership at all. My dad has never been a bishop. He's never been called to anything else. And I think a lot of that is quite frankly, and I'm just going to speak transparently as that social anxiety that my mom has was diagnosed and understood later. But it's never gone away. So we never fit the like stereotypical family that would have progressed within Mormonism. In some ways, I think shame on them for not recognizing how much good he could do in a position of power.
