Is There a Debt Cut in the Budget?

The debt limit is not going to trigger some sincere debate over the solvency of these programs. There's about $40 billion included for Ukraine in the December omnibus spending bill. That carries you for a while, but there will be a more regular debate on aid to Ukraine. I would not be surprised if within the next year the President says we actually also need another big bill for Ukraine.
