Defending With Purpose

The fundamental reason to use a frame is because you're trying to do distance management. A common mistake that people make with frames is they try to use frames to defend. We talked about solid frames, the idea that you don't want to have a lot of structural fail points in a frame. And we talked about surface area. This is one of the main differences between frames and wedges. When you're framing defensively, you usually want to use like your forearm or your shin.
