The Unity of the Church in the Triun God
Jesus prayed that his disciples and the ones who believed through their word, would be one. He prays not just for his immediate disciples, but for all who will believe through their testimony. We look to god for our union by faith, not primarily to a more visible church union on earth. As our union with the father and the son in the spirit and with each other in the triun god, is made manifest, people will believe that jesus was sent by the father. That is the true unity that christ prays for.
