The Role of the Microbiota in Responses to PD-1 Inhibition

The fecal transplant has been shown to induce a response to PD-1 inhibition in patients who previously did not have a response. The study is still very preliminary with only a small number of patients, but certainly provides initial proof of concept that the microbiota may have a significant role in responses to this class of checkpoint inhibitors.
