IELTS: The International English Language Testing System

IELTS is the International English Language Testing System. It's joined by the British Council, IDP, Australia and Cambridge exam board. There are three types of students who take it: Those taking it for career reasons, those wanting to study in an English speaking country such as the UK or Canada,. And then there's also the students who want to get permanent residency because they can't speak fluent English.
