The New Omicron Wave in China
There is a very strong narrative within china that compares the freedom that chinese people have to move around with what's going on in the western countries. However, we're reaching the third lunar festival in a row, aren't we? Where people can't travel home. There's a chinese new year approaching. And people are beginning to tire of those sorts of restrictions. But people will comply. We won't have protests we see in other countries. Outside the lunar festival period, chinese planes are travelling here, there and everywhere, and people are doing so without the fear of catching the virus. So that's flip side of the restrictions that certainly mainstream media reinforces as a positive narrative
